Lead sheathed cable advantages

In the petrochemical industry cables are used which may be subjected to hydrocarbons including oils, solvents, gases or other chemicals. The cable systems in the petrochemical industry are qualified as critical. To protect the inside of the cables against all kinds of (aggressive) substances the industry has always trusted lead sheathed cables for optimal protection.

Lead sheathed armoured cable

They can also be armored in :

  • SWA: spirale di fili in acciaio zincato, con diametro in accordo alle norme di riferimento, copertura min.90%. Questa armatura assicura una protezione meccanica e carico di trazione molto buoni.
  • GSWB: treccia a fili di acciaio zincato, diametro del singolo filo: 0.20-0.25-0.30-0.40 mm. Questa armatura garantisce una buona resistenza meccanica, permettendo un minor raggio di curvatura rispetto alle altre tipologie.
  • GSTA: armature a nastri di acciaio zincato, composta da due nastri sovrapposti; spessore di ogni nastro: 0.20 – 0.30 – 0.40 mm, in base al diametro del cavo. Garantisce una copertura > 100%. Ha una buona resistenza agli urti ma discreto carico di trazione. Il nastro in ottone, invece, con spessore minimo 0.075 mm può essere usato per applicazioni speciali.
  • GSFA: : armature a piattine in acciaio zincato, è composta da fili piatti di spessore 0.6 mm o 0.8 mm, è simile al tipo SWA, ma con protezione meccanica molto più elevata.
